Creating Beautiful Smiles Through Teeth Alignment With Invisalign®

Tulsa Dental Center is proud to offer Invisalign® treatment plans for our patients here in Tulsa. We believe that everyone deserves a healthy, beautiful smile. Using the clinically tested and proven Invisalign system, we’ve seen great results for our patients teeth alignment. If you have any questions about Invisalign, please feel free to contact us.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign uses a series of clear removable Aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. It has been proven effective in clinical research and in practices nationwide.

Invisalign is a custom made aligner based on your teeth. The aligner is interchanged about every two weeks for anywhere from six up to 18 months. Invisalign looks a lot like a retainer, but it has a different purpose. It’s a clinically proven orthodontic treatment technique for moving and properly aligning your teeth for a beautiful smile.

Invisalign Comparison With Traditional Braces

Unlike dental braces, Invisalign provides a convenient method for straightening teeth. Our patients love invisalign because it minimizes interference with your everyday life and is much more less maintenance.

Patients are able to remove their invisalign when brushing, flossing, eating or drinking which is a significant advantage over the use of braces, which are prone to damage with eating hard or chewy foods.

Another advantage of Invisalign is the visual appearance.

Tulsa Dental Center patients are able to straighten their teeth without embarrassing metal brackets and wires that can draw unwanted attention to the mouth. The name of the product says it all – they really are nearly invisible.

Invisalign is also easier on soft tissues in your mouth. Our patients have found that the plastic aligners are very gentle on their cheeks and gums.  This is a stark contrast to braces which can contain sharp edges that may scrape or cut the inside of the mouth.

Limitations of Invisalign®

While we do find that Invisalign aligners can correct a large amount of dental problems for Tulsa Dental Center patients, there are still some limitations.

If you are in need of aligning severe malocclusion or a badly aligned bite, we may not use Invisalign® in this instance.

We typically see Tulsa Dental Center patients have the most success with Invisalign® when it comes to teeth that can be tilted into place, but if molars are in need of re-alignment a different method may be suggested by our team.

Is Invisalign® Right For You?

Part of our commitment to the Tulsa community is to ensure that we provide the very best recommendations and dental solutions. For this reason we would need to complete a comprehensive dental exam before making sure that Invisalign is the right path forward for you.

Each patient is unique and we will work with you to make sure that we provide solutions that are the best possible fit for you as an individual.

Frequently Asked Invisalign® Questions

What is an Invisalign aligner made of?

Invisalign aligners are made out of a special, patented, flexible thermoplastic material called SmartTrack®. This plastic material is exclusively use on Invisalign® products.

How does Invisalign straighten my teeth?

Dr. Roulston will create a unique Invisalign® treatment plan specifically for your teeth based on an initial process of mapping out the movements of your teeth.

We then order a series of Invisalign® aligners based on a design to create the right amount of force over time and on the right teeth to adjust them to the right place.

We’ll walk with you through each step of the Invisalign® process to make sure that you are making progress and remain as comfortable as possible during the alignment process.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

The biggest thing we hear from our patients here at Tulsa Dental Center is how happy they are with the visual appearance of their Invisalign® aligners compared to that of braces.

Because the aligners are made into a clear plastic piece they really do become hard to distinguish from your teeth when you’re wearing them and nearly invisible.

Invisalign® also provides a better fit than other aligners on the market today, due to the patented thermoplastic material.

What does the Invisalign process look like?

Tulsa Dental Center starts the Invisalign process with an initial consultation where Dr. Roulston can evaluate your teeth and begin creating a path towards the transformation of your smile with a step by step dental alignment plan.

Once you’ve approved your invisalign plan with our team, your Invisalign® aligners will be created.

When you begin the process of wearing your aligners, you can expect to wear them for 20 to 22 hours per day.

You’ll also be changing to a new set of aligners about every 1 to 2 weeks.

With each new set of Invisalign® aligners, your teeth will gradually shift into alignment for a beautiful, new smile.
